Fun Run

Fun Run Was A Huge Seccess, Thanks to You!

Congratulations, Los Perales on a fantastic Fun Run!

We raised over $38,000 which is truly spectacular.  Thank you to all who donated, pledged, volunteered, and supported this fun event. Thanks also to the teachers, who supported this effort.  We are working with teachers and administration to prioritize the Fun Run proceeds, but a new water filtration system for the school, science equipment (notebooks, magnifying glasses, etc), additional playground and PE equipment, new grade-level books and some additional assemblies are all possibilities which we are excited about.

This event was funded by the generosity of many local businesses and we'd like to give them another shout out for their support:

Lubin Olson LLP, Bruno Recruiting Group, Mission Wealth, Harris Consulting Group LLC, Humble Yoga, Matt McLeod with Dudum Real Estate, Soraya 4 Homes with Coldwell Banker, Moraga Pediatric Dentistry, MB Inman Investment Advisors LLC, Pennini's Restaurant, Sarah Christensen Photography, Safeway, Letter 10 Productions, Momo's of Walnut Creek, Green Leaf Psychology, Branagh Development, UPS Store of Moraga, Clif Bar, Noodle Theory Provisions, Love & Leaf Organics, The Olsen Team, Anna Ivey Consulting, and Top That Designs!.

We would like to give special acknowledgment to A Runner's Mind in Lafayette for going above and beyond helping to make the Fun Run Experience memorable for the kids.

Special thanks to several LP parents for their talents and time:

Steve Christensen provided wonderful music and great energy for our event. Shannon Housley was our all-day photographer. Myrna Volpentest, Sarah Christensen, and Jennifer Duff also assisted in taking numerous photos of our event.  Myrna also put together the Shutterfly share site  so that all parents can access photos. Feel free to peruse the photos and look at all of those determined runners! The D.A.D. Club, led by Matt Curran and Doug Massa, assisted with track set-up and clean-up.  And countless volunteers showed up to count laps, serve water and snacks, and cheer on our runners.  We'd like to thank some of the St. Mary's Men's Basketball Team for attending our event in the morning and we'd like to give a shout out to Pouncer, LP's mascot, for attending all day long and cheering on our students.

As part of the Fun Run, our school collected 80 pair of new and gently used running shoes which were donated to those in need as a result of the devastating fires to the north of us.  Thanks to everyone who brought in a pair of shoes to help out this great cause!  Your generosity was heartwarming.
