Conflict managers are specially chosen and trained students who help other students get along with each other. The program is derived from The Community Board Program, San Francisco. When students are involved in a non-physical dispute, they are asked if they would like Conflict Managers to help them solve their problem. If the disputants so choose, the Conflict Managers help them by using a problem solving process to clarify the nature of the dispute and to reach a solution satisfactory to both disputants.
