LP Library News from Mrs. Russell

pano 2.jpg

This week in the library we are reading books celebrating Random Acts of Kindness week. These books show examples of how small acts of kindness can make a positive difference in the world. Themes of generosity, thoughtful deeds and respect are found throughout the pages of these books.  We will be discussing what students can learn from the messages in these stories!  We will read a book dating back to the 1938, Andy and the Lion by James Daugherty and Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch published in 1991 written by Eileen Spinelli. We will also read poems from John Frank's book, Lend a Hand: Poems About Giving. On the LP library webpage is a list of books that can be found in the library that touch on RAK.
