Library Hours

Classes are in attendance most hours during the school day. The children know not to disturb another class in progress. If they need to return a book at a time other than their regular day and hour, they may come to the library before school or at the end of the day.

Tips to use at home

Remind your children to have clean hands when reading books, to use a bookmark, and to turn the page from the upper right-hand corner. Set aside

Remind your children to have clean hands when reading books, to use a bookmark, and to turn the page from the upper right-hand corner. Set aside a special, visible place to keep library books: a night table, or brightly colored basket, etc. Keep the books high and dry out of reach of pets or little brothers or sisters. Marking each library day on your calendar will help children remember to put their books in their backpacks the night before library day. Some children bring their book back a day or two early and leave it in the classroom so they will be sure and have it at school for Library time. Most of all, enjoy books with your family!

Also of note...

A parent resource library has been established in our school library. While our selection of titles is limited at the moment, it is growing and parents are welcome to check out books during school hours. We will produce a list of titles on our web site and in this publication in the coming months.
