Online Registration / Enrollment
Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order in which registrations (including payment) are received. After you have reviewed the class selections & descriptions, click on “Sign Up” above. Enrollment in all ASEP classes requires the full session tuition regardless of start date. All payments must be made prior to the first class or the student will not be permitted to attend class.
Refunds / Cancellations / Late Fees
The enrollment period ends at midnight on Sunday September 13th. No refunds after the first class. If a class is under or oversubscribed, you will be notified and your fee will be refunded.
Parent Observer, Free Tuition
All ASEP classes must be supervised by two adults. When a program provider does not have an assistant, we issue a request for a Parent Observer whose child's fee would then be waived. Please indicate your interest when signing up your child. The ASEP coordinator will contact you if this position is still open and your child's fee will then be refunded. This position will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Panther Club Activity Release form
Please note: If your child is coming to an ASEP class from Panther Club, you must have a properly executed Panther Club Activity Release form. If not, your child will not be released to the ASEP class.
PTA Educational Program Fund
As California's budget situation worsens, it is widely acknowledged that school district funding will be reduced. During times of school district funding crisis, the district turns to the PTA for donations to help reduce the amount of program and personnel cuts. To supplement its fundraising efforts, LP PTA will continue to collect a $1.50 fee on each ASEP class. That means that for a 6 week (1 class per week) ASEP session, a fee of $9 will be collected. That money will go into a fund that supports the ongoing educational programs at LP.
ASEP Policies and Procedures
Behavior and Discipline: Children are expected to behave courteously and attentively. Students who are not behaving appropriately will be sent to Panther Club and parents will be contacted. Students asked to leave a class twice for disciplinary reasons will not be allowed to return. Refunds will not be issued in disciplinary cases.
Getting to Class: There are many classes that do not start immediately after your child's school day. It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the student has a Panther Club reservation or is supervised by an adult whether on campus or off-campus and escorted directly to the ASEP classroom no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of the ASEP class. At no time should your child be unattended. The school is not responsible for your child's whereabouts once school is out. Kindergarteners will be escorted from Panther Club or the kindergarten dismissal area (late birds) by Panther Club staff or enrichment teacher.
If your child is in 1st to 5th grade, please help us in this way.
- Please let your child know what classes he/she is expected to attend and whether he/she is going to Panther Club before or after the class. Please try to remind them the day of the class.
- Please let your child know that he/she must go directly to the ASEP class as soon as school lets out. Do not socialize and play with friends or visit the play structures.
- Although the Panther Club staff already has a list all registered ASEP students, it's always good practice to have your child remind the Panther Club staff that he/she will be attending an ASEP class later that day.
