Dance Along with Our Happy Pouncer the Panther!
Every Wednesday two Student Council Representatives lead our entire school in the Pledge of Allegiance and share a “Thought of the Week,” which focuses on one of our sixteen LifeSkills. To listen to this week’s announcement click the play button in the box below.
In collaboration with the LP PTA and Soul Shoppe, LP students in TK-5th grade will be participating in four Elementary Peace Program workshops throughout this school year. These workshops are designed to reach every student within the school, giving everyone common language and skills to know how to be safe, respectful and peaceful at school and in life. Our second workshop "Tools of the Heart" was this month.
Moraga Education Foundation
Every LP Student, Every Day
Thanks to the success of last year's campaign and the generosity of our fabulous MEF donors, the Moraga School District will receive $1,500,000 in funding from MEF for personnel and programs this school year. Every LP student benefits every day from MEF funding.
This year, MEF will pay for the following at LP: Librarian, Computer Teacher, the new K-8 Writing Program, Reading Tutors, Music Teachers, Art Teachers, PE Teachers, Teachers' Aides, Curriculum Instruction Specialists (in Math and ELA), and Kids' Connection. This wouldn't happen without the support of all our LP families.
Please donate, pledge or set up your payment plan today! www.moragaeducation.org

The Moraga School District has partnered with the Contra Costa County of Education in an effort to boost student attendance by addressing chronic absences. Attendance matters as early as kindergarten. Studies show children who miss too many days in kindergarten and first grade can struggle academically in later years. Students can also suffer academically if they miss 10% of school days. This can be just one day every two weeks and can happen before you know it. Good attendance will help children do well in elementary school and beyond. “Attend today, achieve for a lifetime!”
